Birthday Cake Decorating Contest

Eligibility

• The cake decorating contest is open to individuals of Northwest Indiana, of all ages.

Entry

• Contestants must submit their entry through this online form and email all pictures to info@demottechamber.org.
• Registration and pictures are due July 28, 2025.
• Make sure to submit all photos of your creation by the July 28th deadline.

Cake Decoration Requirements

• “Happy 50th Birthday Touch of Dutch” theme cake must be at least two layers, round or square.
• Decorator must agree to have their name and pictures posted at the event and on social media.
• The following pictures must be submitted at the time of entry:
  • Picture of decorator and cake prior to decorating
  • Three pictures of the decorating process picturing the decorator and the cake prior to the decorator being finished
  • Completed decorated cake with the decorator
  • Short video of the decorator with the completed cake saying their name and where they are from
• GOAL: Completed cake must be pictured alone using a solid background to be used for judging and display during the Touch of Dutch

Cake Decoration Judging

• All pictures must be submitted to qualify for judging
• All rules must be followed
• Judging will be done during the Touch of Dutch festival by attendees visiting the booth display from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM CST on August 9, 2025
