The DeMotte Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Touch of Dutch Festival on the second Saturday in August at Spencer Park in DeMotte, Indiana. This family-fun event boasts 4,000-6,000 visitors and features a parade, a car show, free live entertainment, craft and food vendors, kid’s entertainment, giveaways and so much more!

This event offers free admission and lots off free parking.

Attention Non-Food Vendors

Application Deadline: August 10, 2023

There are spaces for home-based sellers (i.e. Avon, Scentsy, Pampered Chef, etc.). These are on first come, first serve basis. No duplicate home based vendors will be allowed. However, duplicate homemade crafts and non-food vendors may be allowed. We will accept applications until the venue is filled. Additionally, vendors will be assessed double fees (cash payment only) if we receive your application after the deadline.

2023 TOUCH OF DUTCH VENDOR REGISTRATION

We are happy to have your interest in being a vendor at the Touch of Dutch Festival this year. All applications are subject to approval. You will receive confirmation soon after your application has been processed. There are no refunds unless the application is declined by the committee for any reason. There are no rain dates.

Vendor Responsibilities

All tables, chairs, tents, displays, signage, etc.
Setup Friday (Aug 11) from 4:00 -7:00 pm (CST)
Setup Saturday (Aug 12) from 6:00-9:00 am (CST)
Tear down Saturday no earlier than 4:00 pm (CST)
- All vendors are invited to stay until the fireworks

Overnight Security

An overnight, full-time police officer will be on the festival grounds Friday night.
Securing your booth and its contents are your responsibility.
Do not leave cash overnight.

Vendor Application

Attention Food Vendors

Application Deadline: July 28, 2023 at Noon

It is your responsibility to contact and obtain a Jasper County Health Permit at 219-866-4917.

Note: You may be required to have your trailer inspected at the Jasper County Health Department in Rensselaer, IN prior to the event. Failure to comply with the health department will void your Touch of Dutch application and a refund will NOT be issued. No exceptions.

Submitted entries will receive an email from the committee

Lineup begins at 9:00 am (CST)
- Halleck Street closes at 9:15 am (CST)
Participants will lineup on 8th Ave. NE between 700 W and Halleck Street
Lineup must be complete by 9:30 am (CST)

Parade Application

Parade Entry Deadline

Parade entry forms are due by Sunday, August 6, 2023. If your entry is received after August 6th, your entry will be put to the back of the parade lineup.

2023 TOUCH OF DUTCH VOLUNTEER SIGNUP

We are in need of many volunteers during the Touch of Dutch! We are seeking volunteers for all of the activities defined below on Friday, August 11 and Saturday, August 12, 2023.

Festival Planning?

Vendor assistance

Hours: Friday 3pm-7pm – Saturday 6am-9am

Show the vendor where their booth is.
Remind them that they are only allowed to unload at the unloading zones
and immediately move their vehicle to the vendor parking.
- Their vehicle will be towed if it’s not moved by the time the event starts
Direct them where to, and how to set up their booth for the day.
- Not advised to assist vendors to take their items to their booth spaces or set up
  their tent.

Garbage pick-up

Hours: Saturday 8am-10pm

Keep the park cleaned up

Parking

Hours: Saturday 8am-4pm

Need to have many people help to park people on the park grounds
There are several “zones” for parking cars. There needs to be someone at each zone

Chamber booth assistance

Hours: Saturday 8am-8pm

Relaying information from the Chamber booth to the emcee during the event
We may have sponsor’s door prizes every 30 minutes during the event
