The DeMotte Chamber of Commerce is excited to offer an internship opportunity for a motivated, community-minded individual who is interested in learning more about how a local Chamber operates.
This internship is a great fit for students or individuals looking to gain real-world experience in event planning, marketing, and community engagement—all while working closely with local businesses and community leaders.
What You’ll Do
As a Chamber Intern, you’ll assist the Executive Director with a variety of tasks that help keep the Chamber running smoothly and our events successful.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with planning and executing community events
- Supporting local business outreach and engagement
- Helping with social media posts and basic marketing efforts
- Providing general office and administrative support
- Assisting with event setup, coordination, and breakdown
No two days are exactly the same—this is a hands-on opportunity to learn and grow.
Internship Details
- Hours: 5–10 hours per week
- Schedule: Flexible, with some evening or weekend event support
- Location: Primarily local (Chamber office and community events)
- Compensation: Unpaid internship
- Duration: Flexible (semester, summer, or ongoing based on availability)
