This two-day event is fun for all ages. No admission, free parking, free entertainment and lots of free giveaways. Crafters, food, car show (Saturday) and live entertainment all day. Fireworks on Saturday finish off the biggest community event in Jasper County! Beer Garden (Friday and Saturday) is also available with a Cornhole Tournament on Saturday! Rotary Ramble (5K walk and run) early Saturday morning with a huge parade at 10am on Saturday too!
The Chamber Board of Directors meets the first Friday of each month at 7am at the Chamber office to review all Chamber business. This meeting is open to all members. Stop in for a cup of coffee and learn with the Chamber has to offer! (note: dates of meetings may change due to holidays or Chamber events. Call ahead to confirm 987-5800).
On July 20, 2018 at noon the DeMotte Chamber of Commerce will perform a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate DeMotte UMC becoming a member of the Chamber.
Also, on that day, join us for a church open house featuring the United Methodist Women’s annual salad bar ($7) from 11 am – 1 pm, the church rummage sale from 8 am – 3 pm and tours of our church and preschool from noon – 1 pm. Ms. MaryAnn Van Schepen our teacher will be available to answer questions and to sign up new students.
DeMotte United Methodist Church was the first church established (1886) in the town of DeMotte. Since 1961 the church has been located at 227 N. Halleck Street. The church is home to the longest running preschool in town: DeMotte UMC Preschool.

Here is how Shop DeMotte & Win works. From July 6 to August 5, shoppers simply collect and save all of their receipts from their local shopping efforts. For every $200 spent, you get an entry to win the Grand Prize. Last year’s grand prize valued at over $700 and consisted of gifts and gift cards from the local businesses. There are no special sales, no special stores to shop; wherever you spend money in DeMotte, is eligible. Gifts, Dining, Groceries, Insurance, Fuel, Repairs, Services, Cars, Homes, Memberships, Prescriptions, even the DeMotte Public library and your NIPSCO, NITCO and Jasper County REMC bill are eligible!
The drawing for Shop DeMotte & Win will take place on Saturday, August 11 at the Touch of Dutch. If you claim your prize at the Festival, you will also earn $25 in Dutch Guilder to be spent at any vendor at the Touch of Dutch Festival!
